Border Trade Logistics

The Myanmar-Thailand border offers various transportation options, including land, sea, and air, with a focus on facilitating cross-border trade and travel. Key routes include the Mae Sai-Tachileik border crossing, the Mae Sot-Myawaddy border crossing, and the Kawthaung-Ranong route via sea. Container ships are also facilitating trade between Yangon, Kawthaung, and Ranong.

Land Transport:

Mae Sot-Myawaddy:

Another crucial border crossing, connecting the Thai province of Tak with the Myawaddy district in Myanmar.

Sea Transport:

Ranong-Kawthaung-Yangon Sea-going Ship Route

This route involves using sea-going container and general cargo vessels to transport goods from Ranong to Yangon, providing a more stable and cost effective transportation means compared to the land transportation between Thailand and Myanmar.
